Tessellation Triforce – Lap Quilt

Main Fabric: Flutter Tone-on-Tone (Remnants)

Filler Fabric: Emma Louise European Linen

Backing Fabric: Big W Plush Blanket

Special Tools: AccuQuilt Baby Go

I made an executive decision to re-post some stuff from Insta based on if my image was created in Canva 🤣 (I only moved to it recently, after I changed phones and could no longer access my Adobe Express designs)

I made this for my husband’s nephew because it was winter and cos he is super into Tears of the Kingdom. Although to be honest, I’ve had this quilt idea for probably 7 years or so (as long as this Tumblr account lol).

Despite having the design idea, I never acted on it because I originally bought an equilateral triangle quilt ruler to help me cut the triangles, but then realised I would probably stuff up the cuts, and felt disheartened 😅 This quilt was a big reason why I ended up buying an AccuQuilt Baby Go (the other being hexxies 🥰)

But even after getting the AccuQuilt Baby Go, I didn’t become confident enough to attempt this project until I figured out scant ¼ seams 😅 And then I had to rejig the design cos I thought I didn’t have enough fabric. But I ended up with a lot leftover still, my math when it comes to crafting SUCKS.

A little detail that no one but me will appreciate is that these fabric scraps are from the Pokemon cushion covers (now also a quilt) that I made for my husband as a first Christmas present. The two of them are quite similar so it just felt fitting 😊
