Main Fabric: Bonheur de Jour charm pack
Filler Fabric: Riley Blake Confetti Cottons Brick, Emma Louise Linen
Backing Fabric: Riley Blake Flea Market Roses in Red
Quilting: Stitch in the Ditch
I really like the colour red but a completely red quilt would probably be a bit too intense. So I like how this fabric range is a bit of a compromise between RED and bleeding eyes.
I wanted to use the charm squares as is to better appreciate the patterns. So went with a very simple design. It was a relaxing project since the construction was so straightforward.
The hardest part was ‘randomly’ placing the fabric. True random always ends up with same colours or prints adjacent 😣
Since this is just a cover I didn’t use any wadding so was able to trim and fold over the backing as the binding. I don’t think I like this method, the binding ends up a bit loose.
Anyway, the reason I need a cover is because otherwise my cats treat my fabric and projects like their own personal cushions 😂
