My (now) in-laws bought this for me as a birthday present, during the early days of our relationship. They bought it cos I did a lot of fashion sewing back then, not realising that I hadn’t cross-stitched in years. I have them to thank for getting me back into this hobby.
To be honest I’m not a huge totoro fan, so not quite sure what to do with it. Is it bad to gift it back to them (like literally 10 years after I received it)? 🤣 like, ‘hey, remember this?’ 🙃
This project converted me to the ‘make all your stitches in the same direction’ way of thinking. I can’t fathom cross-stitching like this anymore, the different grains stand out SO much to me now.
