Furoshiki Collection #1

I don’t really make new year’s resolutions, but I have decided on trying to do two things this year that this project manages to cover:

  • starting to phase out paper wrapping paper for sustainability purposes
  • using up my stash of heat transfer vinyl (for anti-hoarder purposes lol)

I decided to start with game related designs because that requires zero thinking on my part πŸ™ƒ

The larger sized furoshiki is actually quite awkward to heat press onto. Gonna have to think of the best way to wrangle it to reduce the number of times any single area gets pressed. And I should probably invest in a pen with heat removable ink. The wrinkled furoshiki are from me using an air erasable pen that usually (annoyingly) erases itself within 10 minutes, but on this calico didn’t even disappear overnight, requiring me to soak them in water πŸ˜‘

I’m happy with the way they wrap stuff. I like the idea of furoshiki because it’s kinda more fun than pulling something out of a bag. Sure, you can’t viciously rip the wrapping off like with paper, but there is still the unwrapping aspect πŸ™‚
