What I Liked
- I honestly did like the codes. Had no idea how to solve them myself but enjoyed reading how the characters solved them
- Super stylish dance moves galore 😁
- The classic WSJ way everyone became friends with Iroha
- The efforts of the translators ❤️
Where I Think Things Went Wrong
- Was there any real reason for Iroha to be the only boy? I though there was a token boy each grade, it would have been interesting to meet the others
- It’s not hard to understand why this got cancelled, unfortunately I actually liked this series because of all the reasons ☹️
Conclusion
It was a fun ride and I’m looking forward to re-reading this in the (inevitably digital only) tankobon releases. I’m hoping that the tankobons will be higher quality so I can actually zoom into the minuscule text used in certain chapters 🤣 And I would love it if they included copious translators notes explaining all the very Japanese centric codes.
