What I Liked
- The art and character designs are super polished
- The cult backstory was interesting
- Character interactions, while sparse, were quite enjoyable
Where I Think Things Went Wrong
- Main character had a boring character trait (rules are rules), a lame ability (Orihime’s shield but with weird mini houses) and no real chemistry with pretty boy other MC
- I didn’t feel like they explained Kasane very well.
- Lack of a good ability system.
- Lack of plot structure. In fact it probably would have been better as Kasane-of-the-week, the story arcs were too long
Conclusion
This one really felt like it tried to be overly convoluted. And being another Bleach wanna-be didn’t do it any favours. The art is very nice though so I look forward to the mangaka’s next work.
On a side note, this series makes me miss The Phantom Seer…
