Squid Fashion Exhibit #6
Fashion Theme: Monochrome Cool. As in cold weather cool 😝 Reefsliding instead of Snowboarding cool…if Reefsliding could ever be considered that. Basically I was kinda manoeuvred into this outfit because I wanted something these particular sunglasses would always mesh with, which kinda limited it to black and white. I do like how the gleam changes shade with the ink colour. Plus Penguins and Zebrafish are also kinda in theme 😋
Emote: I just love the Flip-Out animation for Brella. It’s stylish.
Gear Intent: Sub Saver for Ink Mine probably seems a bit weird but I only really use this in Turf, and after I set a mine I’m too impatient to try and refill my tank before joining the fray. Some SSU to help reposition (i.e. move backwards out of short range shooters range so I can chip damage them to death…) and ISM cos once you get into a fight with this weapon you gotta commit to trying to at least trade LOL. A little bit of SS to try and ensure access to a hail mary Reefslider LOL
Overall Thoughts: I’ve wanted to like this weapon since the Splatoon 2 days. But it’s just too weak. I can’t take it into any of the ranked modes without feeling like a burden to my teammates so it’s solely a Turf War weapon now. Good for maps like Sturgeon and Museum for those times when it feels like all the lobbies are just full of rat weapons trying to base invade.
