Started on Crunchyroll Manga and finished on Manga UP.
It always feels weird saying I like a manga when it tackles tragic things like child abuse ☹️ I think this had quite a nuanced approach to its themes so kudos to it for that. And I do like that Sachi learned to trust and hope for the future.
I am privileged, so I couldn’t really understand why Sachi’s parents treated her that way. I guess it is very possible for parents to not unconditionally love their children and that is extremely sad. The mother’s backstory was also sad and while didn’t excuse her actions, did highlight the whole generational trauma situation.
I loved how the ending came full circle to the title. And the additional bonus chapter with Mister and his dad made me tear up.
