Fashion Theme: Smart casual earthy colours. I love tortoiseshell glasses frames, I love the Orange Cardigan and I love Argyle knits. I also am quite fond of leather shoes with that kind of cutout detail. So an outfit full of things I love β€οΈ
Emote: In addition to loving all the fashion aspects of this outfit, I think this Splatling is the most fun to play as well, so it gets one of my favourite emotes (it’s so cute)
Gear Intent: No need to comment on the RSU π Or the two utility subs. No real point in sinking abilities into the sub LOL so Object Shredder to help the main weapon and SCU/SS cos why not. Vac isn’t great but might as well try to have it for when you might want to use it.
Overall Thoughts: I do love Ink Mine and I think it’s fun on this weapon because not only is it an alarm system, but the weapon has the mobility to potentially follow up on the marked opponents and the charge speed to punish anyone who follows through. Vacuum isn’t really that useful unless you already have the numbers/advantage, but it is nice when you can protect your teammates π I had fun using this in Tower Control a couple of times. Unfortunately like every other Splatling, it doesn’t really have tools to take on backlines. Even vac relies on teammates being around to capitalise on ‘neutralising’ the enemy backliners ink output and if that backliner is a charger they just need to wait til you fire the vac to punish you (and you do kinda need to not be behind cover to effectively fire a vac shot) so itβs not that handy (vac in a nutshell). I did try to use it in Rainmaker and Clams with the intent of assisting pushes but I never had the special when my team wanted to push and it’s kinda hard to signal to randos in solo queue to try and coordinate (especially in S rank). I do think the weapon is fun though, even if it’s not effective π₯²
