Maybe my expectations were too high

Things That Could Be Improved
- I don’t really get the ‘point’ of all the bugs after 10 chapters. They hint at some sort of sinister reason behind it all but it’s too vague for me to be interesting.
Verdict
One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 are/were so good, so I think I had too high expectations of this. I feel like there is too much time and detail on each of the bugs, but it’s not that interesting because it’s all weird/random and it just melds together. The girl combining bugs was more interesting, but the bugs themselves are too involved for me to follow it that easily. And the three characters not being on the same page in terms of how they want to use the bugs means there isn’t a strong goal that the characters are aiming for. I often give series by authors whose previous works I enjoy another 10 chapters, but I honestly don’t find Bug Ego entertaining at all so I’m going to drop it 😔
