It’s always interesting seeing a story you’ve already read from another point of view. I really liked Nerilka’s Story. But in this case, the story wasn’t as interesting I guess…
I also think it suffered from too many points of view resulting in the story jumping around a lot. So it wasn’t exactly a smooth, satisfying read.
It was interesting how that time period had a tournament event to train for Threadfall and how the information about Firestone was gradually lost/morphed over time. That’s one of the things I appreciate about the Pern series. The changes over decades and generations and the consequences that result from these changes. However even though I know Watchwhers and firestone are critical to survival on Pern, they just don’t pack as big an emotional punch as fighting a pandemic 😅 Although seems like the authors agreed and that’s what will be in the next couple of books…
The ending was super corny too. But I forgive it because Chitter… ðŸ˜
