The timing of this series coincided with a Guardian article about the last Goze which was neat.
I wanted to like this series but I feel like it focused on the wrong things. There were supernatural elements and interesting things in terms of Sango naturally growing horns and stuff, but it mainly focused on Hotaru conveniently winning people over by being stubborn.
So in the end, it felt like a whole lotta nothing. Hotaru never actually found her father, we never saw anything about the magic water (except in a flashback) and cos of the time skip we didn’t even really see Hotaru grow as a goze. Such a shame.
