Verdict
I love the called-off-engagement trope because it’s often a tiny stepping stone to a much more interesting premise 😂 This feels like a more grounded version of a light novel I read on J-Novel Club which I can’t remember the title of (the main character’s name was Fi). I look forward to following Chris’ training journey and hope the political stakes play a larger part moving forward.
