• Joh (is that the main character’s name? I’ve forgotten) is a good boy
• As someone raised Catholic, the treatment of Christians in Japan’s past is interesting
• The interpreter and monk are entertaining characters

Things That Could Be Improved

• All the possessions seem too similar. Not giving any additional details on the tragedy they are all referencing. So it’s not very gripping
