I fully expected to hate this
Things I Like
- The way you can’t really tell what Kyuragi is thinking
- Kyuragi seems sweet, I was expecting her to be more of a bitch/aloof for some reason?
- The main character is so reluctant to think Kyuragi likes him in any way (not even as a friend) that Kyuragi really has to go out of her way with her advances, which makes thing pretty entertaining
Things That Could Be Improved
- Larger cast would be nice
- More hints as to why Kyuragi would like Matsura
Verdict
I think I somehow became very biased against short-style rom-com manga aimed at guys. I guess I realised how many of the cute rom-coms ones aimed at girls (e.g. the stuff Manga UP publishes) I like that I assumed this would be like Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible, where the girl is usually more on the mean side. I suppose Matsura is still a bit of a cardboard cut-out male main character, but I don’t find him unbearably pathetic so I guess it’s fine? For some reason I’m finding it hard to say that I like this series lol. Maybe I’m worried I’ll get bored of it? I know it’s still ongoing with over 30 chapters so hopefully it does something to stay fresh. I guess I can check back in at 20 chapters!
