Ahh, it ended 3 chapters after it passed my 20 chapter test 😂

I feel like this series was all over the place, but not in a bad way 🤣 They probably spent too long in sleepyville, which would have worked well if it was in order to juxtapose against the business of the city, but we don’t really get to see much of that. Also the supernatural aspect of exorcising the spirit with the blessed drumsticks was just some random event never again referred back to. And the nice people who recommended the real estate agent never showed up again. And the sexy onee-san ended up being no-one of note in the story.
I think the band members were all pretty fun, but I guess there’s only so much you can learn about them from short flashbacks, when things aren’t really shown from their perspective. Shame cos even though Yaguchi was probably the most stereotypical background wise, Daisuke and his enka background and the drummer with her loose ties to metal via her cross-dressing brother, probably had interesting points of view to bring to the band and the songwriting.
Haruo was pretty cute in that naive way and I’m kind of glad there were no story arcs about him getting scammed or taken advantage of. But I think I liked the drummer the most with her blasé attitude to everything. The ending was quite abrupt, but in an actually pretty believable way. I liked the series it was fun 😁
