The blurb for this series just sounds so wrong. It sounds so wrong it made me think ‘this can’t be right’ and that’s what got me to pick it up. And it does a good job in the early chapters of solidifying the main insinuation of the blurb so it wouldn’t surprise me if other readers dropped the series.
I found this to be a satisfying revenge story because Aizawa didn’t really *do* anything to his former bullies, except expose what horrible people they already were. I did wonder how far Aizawa would go, I was satisfied at where he left off, and Suzuki’s final (is it or isn’t it??!!) scene did a great job of showing that, if pushed, some people might cross the line that Aizawa didn’t…
Thirty chapters is a good length, it definitely didn’t overstay it’s welcome. It’s exactly the kind of series that makes me feel like I’m getting value from my manga subscriptions (although technically I never spent any money for this series on MangaUP) – the journey was great, but I don’t feel the need or want to ever re-read this.
Bullying stories are tough. It’s hard knowing there are people out there who are so cruel. I find it heartening that at least in this series all the victims are able to move on in some way.
