Things I Like
- The flashbacks to when Airi was a teenager and Hina was a little kid are so cute and touching
- Airi’s work situation is rather amusing. I admire her determination to…do her research? 😂
- Some of the adulting things Airi has to do are pretty relatable haha
Things That Could Be Improved
- Hina seems a bit empty at the moment. Maybe that’s on purpose so that the reader is as confused as Airi on his thoughts?
- The supporting cast feels a bit shallow at the moment.
Verdict
I’m hoping this is a story about how Airi can learn to look after herself and respect herself a bit more. I’m not really fussed if it becomes a romance or not (Hina is a uni student now and it’s not like Airi is taking advantage of the situation, the opposite really). But even if isn’t that kind to Airi (in terms of self development), it’s still a pretty amusing read. Feels like it’s living up to it’s ‘edgy’ potential, in a way that The Chrysalis Heart didn’t.
