• Magical inventor sounds like a cool job
• The ways in which humans and witches are different species and the political and practical outcomes of coexistence

Things That Could Be Improved

• The main character isn’t very impactful
• Neither is Natalia although that is kinda explained through her being a witch
• Not much chemistry between the leads and no fun or interesting side characters in their social circle
• Unsatisfactory set up of Nine as the villain. More hints as to her motives or circumstances would have been better, instead of just suddenly telling it outright (pacing feels rushed like it’s going to be axed)
