I vaguely remember, back in the original English version of the Shonen Jump app, that they had a sorta version of the WSJ survey at the end of the ‘magazine’. I recall it was a little annoying trying to choose my favourite series on my tiny-ass phone screen, but I diligently did it every week because it was just kinda fun, even if my choices didn’t have any bearing on anything what-so-ever. There was even a section you could write a comment in to go in the draw for some prize, which I’m pretty sure I wasn’t eligible for since I’m not in US/Canada, but I always filled it in anyway. I was just so happy that WSJ was finally accessible in English, I guess.
Recently I’ve been thinking that I kinda miss doing the survey. In addition to that, I thought it could be interesting to see if my opinion of any particular series changes over time. Hence this blog and type of blog post. So! Here are my choices for Issue 18!

1st CHOICE:
Mashle: Magic and Muscles
I love it when this manga goes full on stupid. Those names are so dumb 👍 Mash and Epidem gon have a Cream Puff/Pudding battle for sure

2nd CHOICE:
PPPPPP
Wow Meloli. Twisted!

3rd CHOICE:
Witch Watch
The reference to vk lyrics got me. I’ve never listened to Diaura before but I’ll give them a shot now 😂
Other Comments
- I like Luffy’s powered up design
- Ihara-sensei must really like Nintendo. Smash Bros must be super popular with kids in Japan, I rmb Bone Collection referenced it a lot as well
- Ayashimon is way more interesting when they focus on the politics/world structure than on Maruo and his fights
- The cliche ‘oh no we have to spend a night together at the inn cos circumstances!’ chapter was handled a lot better than I was expecting
- Not sure what Roboco was parodying this time. Rosen Maiden?
- AyaTri in fine form this week LOL
