Definitely went into this with low expectations
Things I Like
- Mutsumi is making efforts to change on her own volition
- The three types of ‘communication’ issues makes it a more interesting read
- Mutsumi, James and Luca all seem to have troubled backgrounds
Things That Could Be Improved
- I hope James can make more friends/acquaintances outside of Mutsumi and Luca.
- I’d like to see more of their respective parents (since it probably is a big influence on each of their circumstances)
Verdict
I thought this was either going to be boring like Komi Can’t Communicate or a super saccharine romance between the two main characters. But the addition of Luca makes this so much better. The three of them really play off each other well and are spurring each other to overcome their communication weaknesses. It makes me actually feel like rooting for them.
