I didn’t realise this was by the Smother Me mangaka until a friend pointed it out to me 😮

I kind of forgot this ended although maybe it was partially wishful thinking, this was a fun series that I enjoyed reading haha. A good mix of absurdity and some good-ole punch-outs lol. Sago taking the ‘mind of steel’ thing to the extreme. And his reaction to Kirari’s confession, poor girl 🤣 I love that she ended up becoming a multi-verse travelling genius haha.
Kirari was great but Breeder and Sago was probably the best combination. His job at the ninja restaurant was hilarious and the whole arc where they find out was probably the high point of the series. The low point was probably the fourth wall breaking, was that necessary?
Other highlights were Chougo refusing to forgive Breeder, the comparison of the Sumo guy to middle management and the one semi-smart guy being put on a pedestal by the rest of the delinquents. Oh and I really appreciated the Nintendo DS cameo for some reason?
I hope Shimomoto’s next series is more like this than Smother Me. I felt like the art style suited this comedy series whereas in Smother Me it just made things harder to follow. Although from memory the outlines in Delinquent Gacha are bolder than Smother Me so maybe it’s an evolution of their artstyle. Let’s see if I can pick their next series from the artwork or not 😂
