I feel like the thumbnail for this series is a bit misleading haha (Rena bias kicking in).
I think this is my favourite series from Hatomune-sensei. Service Wars was funny but the heroine was forgettable (I don’t even remember her name) and Chuck Beans (the character) was too irritating for me. Rena Haze though is pretty cool 😁
Service Wars was funny cos it was so absurd but I always respect a comedy series where you know what’s gonna happen but it’s still funny (the whole ongoing basketball gag lol). And Mitama Security also had some absurdity especially with Zobiro.
The two main things that were a bit disappointing were that not many of the side characters made much of an impression (say in comparison to Gintama where they become fan favourites) and I felt like they hinted at paternal reasons behind Rena’s spirit line but never tackled it in the end. And I guess also they were a bit wishy-washy about if Rena liked Mitama or not, but I didn’t really care either way about that aspect, so whatever 😝
